Microsoft Clipchamp Long Silences

With the update it offered for the Clipchamp video editing tool, which it purchased in 2021, Microsoft quickly eliminates long silences and makes many other small but effective improvements.

On the Microsoft 365 Insider blogIt is stated that this new feature, which was released as a public preview in early 2024, is now officially available for Microsoft 365 Family and Business accounts. This feature allows video editors to remove silent parts of audio tracks using AI programming. Clipchamp users can click on the artificial intelligence suggestions button on the toolbar of the application and then review the silent parts of the video it detects. The user will then be able to delete these silent parts individually or all at once.

Clipchamp also offers a way to rotate any media element. Users will now be able to edit multiple items simultaneously. To try it out, you can select multiple elements in the scene by holding down the Shift key and move them, as well as resize and rotate them as you wish. The Shift key can also be used to select multiple track elements at once and add them all to the timeline at once.

Finally, anyone with a personal account will now be able to get some new copyright-free audio tracks to put into videos. You’ll now be able to find intro and outro, 30-second and 60-second versions, as well as over 200 new custom preset audio tracks to use as background music in your next video.
