Starfield May Update by Bethesda announced. The update that the company calls the biggest update since the launch; It brings upgraded surface maps, difficulty adjustment options, new display settings for Xbox and much more. There is also a teaser for the upcoming update where a ground vehicle will be deployed for the game.

Starfield’s map system is being completely overhauled. Fully detailed environments depicting cities and locales, points of interest and signs for vendors (along with fast travel options) and other points of interest. Almost empty maps showing directions are now shown to players.

Players who want to personalize the interior of their ships will now need to be able to do so. Similar to the outpost customization system, players will be able to completely disassemble and rearrange their ship’s interiors. Additionally, many new gameplay tweaks are coming, with everything from survival effects to combat and looting presented as separate areas that will be adjusted to the type of difficulty players prefer.

New graphics options are also coming for Xbox Series X players. These will be Frame Rate Target, prioritization between visuals and performance.

New Game Plus is also making a significant change. Focusing on better replayability, when players finish the game and choose to play again using the New Game Plus option, both the player character’s appearance and characteristics will now be customized as in a new game.

Xbox Series X|S and PC players are planned to receive the Starfield May Update on May 15. Steam players will be able to test them immediately with the beta that has just started on their platform.

On the other hand, the Starfield: Shattered Space expansion is aimed to be presented in the Autumn.
