Installing the Pin App is quick and easy. To do this, just go to Settings first, then Security and Privacy. Then, you can scroll down and find More Security Settings and turn on the Pin App switch, or you can tap the text to view more settings. For an extra security measure, you can enable the “Require PIN before unpinning” option. Thus, the person who takes your phone will have to enter the password to exit the fixed application.
Then, you can open the app you want to pin. To do this, tap the Recent Apps button (swipe up and hold your finger steady if you use swipe gestures), then tap the icon above the app and click “This app.” Select ± pin. That is all.

Even the most careful of us sometimes cannot avoid accidents. When you send your phone somewhere to have its cracked screen or damaged charging port repaired, you do not know who will be able to access your data.
This is where Samsung’s Maintenance Mode comes into play. This mode has been specially developed to protect your personal data and prevent it from being accessed when your device leaves your possession and is sent for any repairs. When you enable Maintenance Mode, you can ensure that your primary account and data remain private by creating a different user profile. This feature can be activated from the Settings section of the device or through the Samsung Members application, where you tap Device Maintenance before entering the Maintenance Mode and selecting the mode.
As soon as Maintenance Mode is turned on, you can hide all your personal data, including photos, videos, contacts and messages, and prevent unauthorized access. This option acts as a storage that keeps your data under lock and key so that it cannot be accessed from your phone’s regular storage. You can store your most private data here, such as notes, photos, videos, files and even applications, as well as your calendar schedules and contact information. You can even encrypt Secure Folder to keep your apps and data even more private until the next time you open them.
When you open the Secure Folder in your applications for the first time, you need to set your lock type as PIN, pattern or password. In addition to these, you can also add fingerprint access. After these procedures, Secure Folder becomes ready for use. Everything you create in the Secure Folder is automatically stored here, and you can move your other data here whenever you want. For example, if you want to keep a copy of your driver’s license, you can take a photo using the Camera app in Secure Folder, or select a photo from your Gallery and click on the options menu (three dots). on), then you can tap “Move to Safe Folder†option.
