Although there were rumors that the new low-power series Lunar Lake, based on the Lion Cove, Skymont and Xe2 architectures, would be part of the Core Ultra 200 series, it was not clear which naming scheme would be applied to the series. Intel has previously used unique naming schemes for special series such as Ice Lake. But it looks like Intel decided to keep things simple and consistent.

The main series about Arrow Lake and the main series about Lunar Lake will have similar names. The first sample based on this silicon was found to be Intel Core Ultra 5 234V and was an 8-core CPU without hyperthreading. confirmed. The V designation appears to be exclusive to Lunar Lake.

Intel’s Core 200 series processors have three different types: Arrow Lake, Raptor Lake Refresh and Lunar Lake, and each type will be designed for a specific device category. Only Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake will be labeled “Ultra,” meaning they are the newest architectures in the series. However, this may cause confusion for customers who see low-power processors with the Ultra label.

Intel has already confirmed that Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake will be released this year, so it looks like we’ll see the first products in the Core 200 Ultra series soon. The Lunar Lake-M processor is expected to compete strongly with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon This year will be a great year for low power laptops.
