Panasonic has announced the Lumix GH7, the successor to the popular Lumix GH6 vlogging camera. announced. The Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera comes just two years after the launch of the GH6, which was pretty fast in the videography world.

Panasonic Lumix GH7 Features

The Lumix GH7’s 25.2-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor is the same as the sensor in the photo-centric Lumix LG9 II announced earlier this year. In addition, thanks to phase detection autofocus (PDAF), advanced autofocus performance, which is a highly desired feature, is also offered. Additionally, the newly added real-time autofocus recognition algorithm for use in airplanes and trains is also available on the device.

Panasonic says motion recording eliminates the need to adjust audio recording levels while shooting, although it requires a separate XLR adapter. Image stabilization technology also has support that includes perspective distortion correction for videos.

The GH7 supports native Camera to Cloud integration via Adobe Frame.io, which automatically uploads images and videos to the cloud. Apart from that, pop-up display, dedicated audio slider, real-time LUTs, timecode in/out, 3.68 million dots ± Many features of the GH6 are preserved, such as OLED viewfinder (120Hz) and external USB-C SSD support.
