Nothing founder and CEO Carl Pei says the company has sold more than 3 million products since its founding through the X account. announced. Pei founded Nothing in 2021 after leaving OnePlus after a seven-year tenure. For over three years, the company has released many smartphones and wireless headphones under the Nothing brand.

Nothing received $15 million in funding from Google Ventures in a Series A round and launched the Ear (1) wireless headphones as its first product. The headphones were $99 at the time and featured Teenage Engineering’s transparent design.

Following this, the company launched its first Android-powered smartphone called Nothing Phone (1) a year later. The device made a big difference with the Glyph LED lights on the back.

In addition to various use cases, LED lights can alert users to incoming phone calls and notifications. Glyph LED lights also took their place in the Nothing Phone (2) and Nothing Phone (2a) models.

Apart from this, Nothing acquired Android co-founder Andy Rubin’s smartphone brand Essential, which had launched only one smartphone in its limited lifespan. Last year, Carl Pei’s company also launched a sub-brand called CMF, which includes products aimed at budget-oriented buyers.
