Microsoft releases some new updates for Xbox software and apps with Xbox April 2024 Software Update announced. The most important of these is Game Hubs for PC users.

In a post on Xbox Wire, Microsoft says Game Hubs will track your progress and achievements on any PC game in your library. Additionally, thanks to this feature, you will be able to see if there is any extra content or DLC pack, news from the game’s developers, and more.

The Xbox Game Bar in the PC Xbox app now makes it easy to take screenshots or capture clips in a specific game. The captured content will then be added to the Game Hub list in the game’s Xbox PC app with this update. Screenshots and clips can be stored on the computer’s local drive and shared with others.

Additionally, Xbox Insiders and a small subset of Xbox PC app users will be able to see a new bottom navigation menu under the “What’s Happening” section of the Game Pass tab.

Xbox console owners will gain support for Discord Voice to hear soundboard audio from others in a Discord channel or call. If you use OneDrive to automatically save a screenshot or clip from your console, you’ll now receive a notification when you’re running low on storage.

Finally, to prevent others who may live with or visit you from installing games or apps you don’t want on your Xbox console, you’ll be able to set a PIN so that if a guest tries to install a game or app, they’ll be prompted to enter the number in advance.
