In line with the decision taken by the Competition Authority, Threads, which Meta has implemented as an alternative to X, will be available to users in Turkey as of April 29, 2024. will not be available.
This means people in Turkey cannot download the Threads app, access Threads from Threads.net, create a Threads profile, or use existing Threads profiles.
If you have created a Threads profile and are located in Turkey, your profile will be disabled but not deleted. When your profile is disabled, your profile and its content (for example: your posts, interactions with other posts) will not be visible to you and others on Threads. Reactivating your profile will not affect it.
Once your profile is deactivated you will be allowed to download a copy of your Threads information at any time. You also have the right to delete your Threads profile.
Meta also added that they are working to bring Threads back to Turkey in the near future.
