AMD officially announced that it will introduce Ryzen processors with Zen5 architecture this year. The company’s CEO, Dr. Lisa Su stated that the new generation Ryzen “Strix Point” mobile processors will be an important step in AMD’s artificial intelligence-supported PC roadmap and will provide a major improvement in performance and energy efficiency.
The Strix series will be located in the premium segment where high-end gaming laptops and new generation Mini PCs are located. The AMD Ryzen 7000 and 8000 series have experienced a noticeable increase in popularity, with Zen4 systems being used almost every other system in China.
AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su: “When we look at artificial intelligence-supported PC products, Strix products are really suitable for the premium segments of the market. “I think you will see the strongest artificial intelligence-supported PC content in this segment first.”
AMD has not commented further on the Ryzen 9000 “Granite Ridge” desktop processors, but the company has repeatedly hinted that the series should be expected this year as well.
