Allegations that Microsoft is working on a mobile game store that can compete with Google Play Store and Apple App Store have been talked about for a while. Now a timeframe has been given as to when Microsoft will actually make its mobile game store available to users.

Bloomberg, reported that Microsoft Xbox President Sarah Bond announced that the mobile game store will open in July. Bond made this announcement as part of an interview during the Bloomberg Technology Summit.

Bond states that the store will be published primarily on the web, not as a real mobile application store. It is stated that the web-based store can reach a larger audience and more devices.

The mobile game store will initially offer games already owned by Microsoft, such as Microsoft. This will include games such as King’s popular Candy Crush games. Additionally, there is a high probability that games such as Minecraft and Call of Duty Mobile will also be included.

Bond said third-party mobile games are planned to be released through the new store at some point, but there’s no word on how that will work. The details of the grudge are not yet available He said it was not disclosed. Plans also include moving the store beyond its web platform to a true third-party game app store for Android and iOS in the future.
