Google announced that the NotebookLM tool, which has only been available in the USA so far, is now available worldwide. For those who don’t know, NotebookLM is a tool supported by Google’s latest LLM (wide language model) Gemini 1.5 Pro. When you pass source documents to NotebookLM, the tool can help you work with these documents later, saving significant time when only asking AI questions.

When you open a new notebook, you can load content from Drive, a PDF, a text file, copied text, or a website. You are not limited to one of these sources, so you can have the artificial intelligence examine large amounts of data.

With today’s global expansion, Google has upgraded NotebookLM to support Google Slides and web URLs. Inline citations take you directly to supporting passages in your sources for fact checking, and the Notebook Guide now includes content FAQs, Briefing Document to their believers or It can provide a high-level understanding of your resources by converting them into study guides.

Since Gemini 1.5 Pro is a multi-modal LLM, you can export images, graphs, and diagrams to NotebookLM and ask questions about them. Where appropriate, the tool can also include citations to images as supporting evidence.
