Google will debut new sixth-generation Trillium Tensor Processing Units (TPU) at its I/O 2024 developer event. showed. Additionally, it was announced that the NVIDIA Blackwell artificial intelligence server will be available in early 2025.

Expanding on Trillium, Google expects the new TPUs to achieve a 4.7x increase in peak compute performance compared to the previous generation, doubling both HBM capacities and interconnect bandwidth. He announced that he could remove it. This will allow Google to run AI models and events in a much more advanced way. Moreover, sixth-generation TPUs are known to be 67% more power efficient, enabling their mass adoption in data centers.

Trillium TPUs have already been announced to be integrated into Google’s AI Hypercomputers, and the company has partnered with tech firm Hugging Face for “streamlined model training and presentation.” .

In addition to developing TPU, Google announced that they have also included NVIDIA Blackwell architecture in their inventory, and this will allow them to take computing performance to a completely new level. Blackwell GPUs will power the Google cloud server solution and will be available in early 2025.

Combining its most powerful TPUs with the integration of Blackwell architecture, Google will definitely achieve an increase in artificial intelligence computing performance.
