Instagram Status Update User Profiles

Notes, the Instagram status update feature, will soon become more prominent by being included in user profiles in the application. As you know, Notes are currently only available in Instagram’s inbox.

The change will increase the visibility of the feature and give users a new space to interact with their friends’ updates. The app is also experimenting with “prompts” for Notes. This detail will allow users to share questions for their friends to answer in their updates.

Notes is similar to Stories in that updates only last 24 hours and are only visible to co-followers. The latest updates are another sign of how Meta is using the feature, which was first introduced in 2022, to encourage users to post more frequently to smaller, more select groups of friends.

Separately, the app also has a new feature that allows users to make stickers from objects in their photos, similar to the iOS sticker feature. Cut Out Figures It also adds the feature. On Instagram, these stickers can be shared in Stories or Reel. Cut Figures can also be made from other users’ public posts, effectively giving people a new way to remix content from others.
