To make text re-editable, Pixelmator Pro extracts various embedded data from the original PDF, allowing it to recover the original text, fonts, and formatting. “Even if some of these elements are missing—for example, if the original font is not installed on your Mac—you can still import the text, choose a different font, and continue with your edits.”
New text editing capabilities also mean users can seamlessly export Keynote and Pages projects and continue editing them in Pixelmator Pro. All text will remain fully editable with the original fonts, including the SF Pro font used in the Apple ecosystem.
The Style tool that comes with the update has been improved to simplify creating custom outlines around text layers. Users now have the option to add strokes inside or outside text, choose from a variety of stroke ends and corners, and also add dashed strokes.
The update also includes 12 new templates for web, social media and more. All templates include a range of alternative color palettes to tailor the theme to specific requirements.
