Developer and publisher Crytek announced that it is preparing to release a major update for Hunt: Showdown very soon. On the other hand, it is stated that Xbox One and PS4 support will end after the upcoming update on August 15 for the multiplayer, competitive first-person shooter game.

This engine upgrade will cause the game to not run on the two consoles mentioned. To continue playing Hunt: Showdown, players will need to upgrade to Xbox Series X|XS or PS5. In the meantime, players will be able to transfer their accounts and all DLC content they have acquired to new consoles for free. PC players will be able to continue the game without any problems.
