Samsung, announced the availability of One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Flip4, Galaxy Z Fold4 and Tab S8 series devices in the US. The company said that this update will bring the Galaxy AI feature, which it first introduced with the Galaxy S24 series, to older devices.

As it is known, Galaxy AI brings many great features such as Circle to Search with Google, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browning Assist, Generative Edit, Edit Suggestion and AI-Generated Wallpaper.

With the live translation feature, you can receive instant voice and written translation during phone calls, send messages to users in other languages ​​with Chat Assist, and You can set the message tone.

Samsung says that these two new features will significantly close the distance in communication with foreign people. Thus, it is among the very useful features for people who have foreign language anxiety about going abroad. Also, this experience is likely to be much easier on a foldable phone.

Another important feature brought by the update is to circle the image to search on Google. With this feature called Circle to Search with Google, you can easily search for the object you want to search by circling it. This feature can also be used on older devices such as the Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3.

Another important point to note is that Samsung’s Galaxy AI features will be available for free on supported Samsung Galaxy devices until the end of 2025. In other words, it is not yet clear whether these features will be offered for a fee or for free after this date. There is no official statement on this issue from Samsung.
