Samsung 2nm Chip

Samsung Foundry is having difficulty attracting customers to its 3 and 4nm production processes. Despite this challenge, they are actively progressing in the development of even more advanced technologies, including the 2nm process. In addition, Samsung plans to put 2nm chip production into mass production in 2025 with Gate-All-Around (GAA) technology.

GAA is a new transistor design that increases efficiency and performance by allowing better current flow. Samsung first introduced GAA technology in the 3nm process, but so far only its own Exynos processors have benefited from it.

Although TSMC, the main rival of the South Korean manufacturer, has not yet adopted GAA technology, both companies (along with Intel) are expected to use this technology in their upcoming 2nm processes. So when do you expect Samsung 2nm chips to start mass production?
