Helldivers 2 Breaks PlayStation’s Fastest Sales Record, Surpassing God of War Ragnarok

Helldivers 2 has made a huge impact on the gaming community since its release in February. The new Co-op Shooter game reached 12 million sales for PlayStation and PC combined in just 12 weeks.

As it is known, this record previously belonged to the game God of War: Ragnarük, which sold 5 million copies in its first week. However, Helldivers 2 surpassed these figures and became the fastest-selling PlayStation game of all time.

One of the most important factors behind this success was the simultaneously played computer version. According to NPD’s research, 60% of the number of games sold belong entirely to the computer platform. PlayStation will continue to maintain its wider platform selection in the future.

Despite all this, Sony’s plans for Helldivers 2 have not been going well for the last 2 weeks. As it is known, in order to play Helldivers 2 on Steam, it was necessary to register for a PlayStation Network account. However, the company later decided to remove this requirement.

People living in more than 170 countries where a PSN account cannot be created have been banned from purchasing Helldivers 2 on Steam for more than a week since this decision was made.
