Some new artificial intelligence-based features tested in Google Search Labs at the Google I/O 2024 developer conference announced.

Google announced that it has introduced the feature called Artificial Intelligence Overview in Search. It can create a concise answer to a Google Search query using information obtained from various sources. These answers also contain links to other sites for more detailed information.

Here’s Google’s explanation of the new capabilities in search: “Thanks to AI Overviews, people are much more likely to look for help with more complex questions.” visits various websites. And links featured in AI Overviews get more clicks than if the page appeared as a traditional web listing for that query. We see. We will continue to focus on sending valuable traffic to publishers and creators as we expand this experience.â€

AI Overviews is currently available only to users of Google Search in the US and will expand to other parts of the world in the coming months.

Google is also working on adding scheduling features to Search. So if you want to plan your next vacation or learn how to cook a particular recipe, Google Search will soon be able to offer specific plans to accomplish these tasks. The created plans can also be transferred to Google Docs or Gmail services. This feature is also currently available in English Search Laboratories in the USA.

Finally, Google is also adding artificial intelligence improvements for video searches. Here’s the description: “Perhaps you bought a record player from a second-hand store, but when you turned it on, it didn’t work and was broken. The metal piece moves unexpectedly. Searching by video saves you the time and effort of finding the right words to describe this issue and provides an AI Overview with troubleshooting steps and resources. You will have.â€

Unfortunately, this new feature is also in the testing process in Search Labs for US English users.
