MechWarrior 5: Clans release date, which has been wondered by Piranha Games, is finally announced. The game will be released on PS5, Xbox Series S|X and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) platforms on October 3. . The game will support cross-play for all these platforms.
MechWarrior 5: Clans will offer fans of the BattleTech series a story set during the Clan Invasion era of the series. This will be the first time since MechWarrior 2 was released in 1995 that a game in the series will be set in this period. This game will focus on a five-pilot rookie “Star” team alongside the Smoke Jaguar Clan. Piranha says players can expect “a captivating narrative filled with well-crafted characters and moral dilemmas.”
The game will support single-player but will also support co-op for the campaign with up to five players. Players will be able to customize their Mechs with all kinds of different weapons, systems and upgrades. The game will be the first MechWarrior game to use the Unreal Engine 5 game engine. This means that the best graphics so far can be seen in the series.
