Intel Releases XeSS 1.3 Update with New Performance Profiles
Intel announced version 1.3 of its latest technology, Xe Super Sampling, called XeSS. This update brings a number of improvements that make video games run more smoothly. At the core of XeSS is an intelligent algorithm that makes low-resolution images look like high-resolution images. In this way, games can run faster and look better quality.
In this new version, the company worked on a better artificial intelligence model to make its technologies smarter. They also reduced annoying problems we call “ghosting,” where fast-moving objects leave a trail behind and the image does not remain stable.
One of the big changes in XeSS 1.3 is the newly added profile called “Ultra Performance”, this new performance profile has the feature of enlarging the image by 3 times. There is also a new mode that only makes the edges in games smoother without changing the resolution, similar to Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing in other technologies.
Intel demonstrated the performance of XeSS with its own hardware. More options are provided, providing players and game developers with a more customizable experience.
