Microsoft plans to detail its vision of “Artificial intelligence computers” by holding an event in Seattle on May 20. The event will take place one day before the start of Microsoft’s Build Conference. The report states that Microsoft is confident that its new ARM-powered Windows laptops will surpass Apple’s M3-powered MacBook Air in CPU performance and AI-accelerated tasks. The company is said to be relying heavily on the Snapdragon

Microsoft believes Windows AI PCs will have better emulation than Apple’s Rosetta 2. These AI-powered machines will have special access to AI Explorer, an app that lets you bring back anything you’ve seen or done on your device. There will also be an AI-powered video streaming feature, and AI computers will have access to Windows Studio effects for background blur.
