Apple Vision Pro Shipments decline

It was claimed that there was a serious decrease in the shipments of Apple’s Vision Pro mixed reality headset, which was released in the USA at the beginning of February 2024, in the last approximately 3 months. Apple third-party analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said on Medium page He shared that according to sources, Apple has reduced the shipment figures of Vision Pro to 400,000 to 450,000 units for the year. Kuo said the previous expectation was that Apple would sell 750,000 to 800,000 units of the headset.

Kuo points out that these declining shipment numbers came even before Apple expanded where the Vision Pro is sold. In late March, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that the headset would go on sale in China in 2024.

In his news, Kuo says that Apple is facing various difficulties regarding Vision Pro. In addition to the high price, one of the main difficulties is that wearing the headset is not very comfortable. In addition, it is stated that large mixed reality applications that will work with the headset are currently missing.

Kuo claims that he is reviewing plans to launch future mixed reality headsets due to disruptions in shipments. Some previous rumors claimed that the Vision Pro 2 could launch in late 2025 or early 2026. Kuo now says that this time frame may not happen.

While Apple is expected to announce its quarterly financial figures on April 25, it is a matter of curiosity whether details about Vision Pro will be given.
