In a post on the Halo Waypoint site, 343 Industries goes into more detail about the new content that will be part of Operation: Tenrai IV. The biggest new release is Match Composer, which is currently part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Match Composer will give players more control over which game modes they want to play online.

Here’s the description: On the Multiplayer screen, players will be presented with a playlist as usual and after selecting a particular playlist, they can select or deselect as per your preference. They will be able to choose which game modes they want to play based on what is available in the playlist.â€

Match Composer will support the following online playlists

  • Quick Play (4v4)
  • Team Doubles (2v2)
  • Rumble Pit (FFA)
  • Infection (FFA)
  • Big Team Battle (12v12)
  • Squad Battle (8v8)

Operation: Tenrai IV also brings Halo 2’s popular game mode, Juggernaut, back to Halo Infinite. In the game mode, one player becomes Juggernaunt and all other players in the match try to kill Juggernaut. The player who defeats him becomes the new Juggernaut. The player, who is Juggernaut, will be able to use the Gravity Hammer and Quantum Translocator devices, as well as shield, damage and speed boosts.

The new Operation comes bundled with the latest Operation Pass, which allows players to earn some extra themed armor pieces for their characters, as well as other cosmetic items. The update also brings back community-made maps from the previous Tenrai III event, as well as a new map called Hanami with multi-level outdoor areas.
