Clifford Chong, Lenovo’s APAC Gaming Category Manager, confirmed that the Legion Go 2 handheld is being planned. The Lenovo Innovate 2024 conference took place in Bangkok, Thailand and focused mainly on the laptop market. However, attendees also had the chance to discuss other topics, including the future of the Lenovo Legion series and other market segments. One of the topics that came up was the possibility of a new version of the Legion Go handset.

Legion Go is a high-end handheld portable device with a detachable controller and an 8.8-inch screen with 2.5K high resolution. The device was released a few months after the ROG Ally and became popular among gamers as it offered a larger screen, longer battery life and more flexibility. Interestingly, Legion Go succeeded where MSI Claw fell short. Although it had similar physical features to ROG Ally, Claw had lower GPU performance.

Naturally, gamers were wondering if and when Lenovo planned to release a new version of its Legion Go handheld. Clifford Chong, Lenovo’s APAC Gaming Category Manager, announced the Legion Go 2 handheld announced. Clifford did not mention details of the product’s features or launch date. However, he stated that the handheld will have AMD Zen5 & RDNA3.5 architecture.

Ahmet is an enthusiastic, excited young man and is eager to share what he has learned.
