With the WhatsApp Android Beta update, it was revealed that a new feature that allows users to hide community group chats is being worked on. Latest community chats hiding feature, WABetaInfo It was noticed by in the WhatsApp Android Beta v2.24.10.13 update.
The feature will give users better privacy and control over group chats. Meta appears to have added a new option to mark WhatsApp’s community group chats as private. For this, WhatsApp adds a special icon next to the group name. Community group members will be able to easily tell if the group is private by looking at this special icon, allowing users to keep certain conversations private and return to them later. WhatsApp will also show which community the secret group chat belongs to for easier identification.
The special icon will provide a functional way to distinguish hidden group chats from visible ones. Additionally, the added layer of privacy will provide a controlled environment, allowing the user to participate in conversation in a community without revealing their participation to other members in the community.
The WhatsApp feature to hide community chat is currently under development and not available to all users.
