Asus ROG Ally

A year ago, Asus introduced the portable gaming computer called Asus ROG Ally, which is Windows 11 based, has a 7-inch screen and AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. Now it is rumored that Asus will launch the ASUS ROG Ally X model, an upgraded version of the ROG Ally, later this year. it’s official.

The device will have the same size screen as the ROG Ally and the same Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip inside. On the other hand, there seem to be enough changes that even original ROG Ally owners might want to get this new model.

First of all, the biggest change is the inclusion of a larger battery inside the ROG Ally X. Details were not disclosed, but Asus Senior Vice President Shawn Yen says that they are considering much more capacity than 30 to 40 percent. Of course, we can easily say that this will cause the device to be heavier.

Other changes include an unknown larger amount of RAM, down from the 16 GB RAM in the first ROG Ally. Additionally, M.2 2280 SSDs will be supported to expand storage space instead of M.2 2230 SSDs, which are smaller and harder to find. ROG Ally X will also feature joystick modules that can be replaced and upgraded.

Due to these changes, ROG Ally X can be sold more expensive than ROG Ally’s price tag of approximately $ 700. While the price of the portable gaming computer is currently unknown, the device is expected to be introduced later this year.
