LEGO Horizon Adventures by Sony at Summer Game Fest 2024 announced and a very enjoyable trailer was released. The game will be released for PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch platforms. The game is being jointly developed by Guerrilla and Studio Gobo, Sony’s first-party developer and main Horizon series producer.
The LEGO game transforms the popular open-world series into a brick-built series. Everything, from the hero Aloy to the dinosaur-like machines she fights, is made of LEGO bricks, of course. Players of Horizon Zero Dawn, the first game of the original series, can recognize the story details returning in the LEGO game.
The story is told as follows: “In the far future, lands are made of LEGO bricks and incredible dinosaur-like machines roam the Earth. Aloy, the main protagonist of the game, was found in a cave when she was a baby and raised by a grey-haired hunter named Rost, who taught her the way of the wild. One day, Aloy goes on a quest to discover her true destiny. Guided by a thousand-year-old hologram of a scientist named Elisabet, Aloy confronts Helis, the leader of a group of sun worshipers who have succumbed to an Ancient Evil shrouded in mystery. He has to work.â€
Unlike the original game, this LEGO re-imagining also offers cooperative play. Two-player co-op can be played both locally and, surprisingly for a LEGO game, online.
LEGO Horizon Adventures will arrive in Christmas 2024, but an exact release date or price has not been announced yet.
