The trailer for the game shows off some of the enemies Doom Guy will have to face in this game. Some of their new weapons also make their first appearance, including the throwable Shield Saw. Doom Guy will also be able to wield the game’s Mecha Dragon and the massive mech-like Atlan, designed to take on similarly sized demons with its massive fists.
The game’s website also states: “Inspired by the original Doom (1993), The Dark Ages will engage players in tough, heavy-hitting combat featuring destructible demons, brutal melee attacks, and more. Doom: The Dark Ages will be a single-player game and will be released for PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5 platforms in 2025. Even Xbox Game Pass owners will be able to access the game from day one.
