KRAFTON, Inc. PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS announced that the 29.1 update is coming to the servers as of today. The update includes destructible terrains, Ducati collaboration, a new melee weapon, and various in-game balance improvements.
Destructible Terrains
With this update, the ‘Destructible Terrain’ feature announced in the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS 2024 Roadmap came to Rondo; This feature allows players to destroy terrain to create cover and new attack routes when engaging in battles in open areas. Lands can be destroyed with the newly added melee weapon ‘Pickaxe’, some throwable items and vehicle explosions.
Ducati Collaboration
The collaboration with the Italian premium motorcycle brand ‘Ducati’ is now with you. Through this collaboration, players will be able to earn various collaboration items, including Ducati Custom Vehicle cosmetics, in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. Exclusive Vehicle cosmetics can be obtained by collecting ‘Ducati Tokens’, available through the ‘Stage Skip Pack’ and ‘Loot Stash Packs’; The packs will be available on the desktop version from April 9 to May 8, and on the console version from April 18 to May 16.
Rondo Updates
Rondo has been added to ranked play and the zone has been generally improved by reducing the frequency of the EMP Zone, which disables most electronic devices. The number of Survival Shield air drops that arrive when you use the Survival Shield Cartridge has been reduced from 3 to 2, and their size has also been slightly reduced. Additionally, improvements have been made to In-Game Challenges in Rondo and some terrain, objects and environmental elements.
General Improvements
With the 29.1 update, adjustments were made to the balance of some weapons such as SCAR-L, AKM, Panzerfaust and Mk12. The update also includes improvements to bot movement and behavior, the addition of Mastery Medals, and ‘Survivor Pass: Comic Chaos’.
