Intel Lunar Lake Processors Introduced

Intel launches Lunar Lake processors at Vision 2024 event introduced. Initially, some reports confused Lunar Lake with Meteor Lake, which was released at the end of last year, so there was also confusion in the media. However, it later became clear that Lunar Lake, unlike its predecessors, will have LPDDR5x memory.

These processors use Intel Core Ultra 200V, a component of the Intel Core Ultra 2 series, promising significant improvements in AI computing speed over the Core Ultra 1 series. Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger emphasized at the Vision 2024 event that Lunar Lake processors will provide a threefold increase in AI performance and can exceed the 100 TOPS limit in total processing power.

Additionally, Lunar Lake will also introduce Intel’s next-generation Battlemage GPU architecture, but will use the Alchemist GPU architecture for the Arrow Lake variant. Lunar Lake processors will deliver up to 109 TOPS of performance with the combination of NPU and XMX Systolic Graphics. AMD’s Strix Point processor has also tripled its NPU calculation with its new XDNA architecture, and it seems to be released in 2024 and will be a good rival to Lunar Lake.
