Release Date Announced for Fallout 4 Next Generation Update
Microsoft and Bethesda made an important announcement in honor of the new Prime Video adaptation of the Fallout series. Accordingly, the expected new generation update for Fallout 4, which was released in 2015, will be released on last generation and current generation consoles as well as PC on April 25. is coming.
Bethesda first announced that it was working on the next generation for Fallout 4 in 2022, and the update was normally planned to be released in 2023. It was said that the update would bring higher frame rates, 4K resolution and more content for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

The update will upgrade Fallout 4 to native status on current-gen Xbox and PlayStation consoles, giving them Performance mode and Quality mode tweaks, as well as bug fixes and other improvements. It states that the game can be played at up to 60 FPS on current generation consoles. Bethesda promises stability improvements, login and mission fixes for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
On the PC side, a major update will bring widescreen and ultrawidescreen support to the popular RPG on Steam, Microsoft Store and GOG. Stability, mods and bug fixes will also be included, along with Creation Kit fixes and mission updates for modders. Additionally, Bethesda says that login issues for Japanese and Chinese-speaking players on the platform have been resolved, giving them access to the mods.
Bethesda also announced that Fallout 4 will offer Steam Deck support after this update. In fact, the game will be published on Epic Games Store for the first time.
To celebrate the TV adaptation, the studio is also giving away a bunch of Creation Club items for free.
