DaVinci Resolve 19

DaVinci Resolve 19 video editing suite by Blackmagic Design announced. So, what does DaVinci Resolve 19 bring with it?

What’s New in DaVinci Resolve 19

DaVinci Resolve 19 stands out with many AI-powered features for effects, color, editing, audio and more.

A new feature starting with the editing module allows you to edit clips using text instead of video. Converting clips to text opens a window showing text detected from multiple speakers, allowing you to remove sections, search through text, and more. Other features include a new cropping window, fixed playback head (which reduces zooming and panning), a window that allows faster and more changing of audio qualities.

The Color tool offers “Color Wedge,” a way to adjust an image based on six vectors (red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, and magenta) along with a dedicated skin tone slider. For example, you can adjust any of these specific colors, easily changing the saturation and hue levels, seeing and adjusting the key at the bottom. The special skin slider is also very useful for quick skin tone adjustments.

Another key feature of Color is “IntelliTrack,” powered by an AI neural engine that allows you to quickly select points to track to create effects or stabilize an image. Blackmagic has also added a new AI-powered noise reduction system similar to Lightroom that quickly removes digital noise or film grain from images without requiring any adjustments from the user.

Film Look Creator is a new module that opens up color grading possibilities with more than 60 film parameters. It’s also pretty easy to use, as you can start with a preset and then adjust the parameters to your taste. Face Retouching tracks faces, allowing editors to adjust brightness, colors, details and more.
