Microsoft Teams Copilot

Microsoft continues its mission to incorporate AI into more products and features. In this context, Microsoft Teams will be available in the More section in the coming months, including Copilot meeting chat and chat creation box. future.

AI will soon be able to provide you with insights and information from meeting chat and transcripts. This way, if something is written or spoken, Copilot will be able to benefit from it. Microsoft says that when you open Copilot in a meeting chat, you’ll get a more comprehensive, inclusive view of the topics you and your collaborators are discussing.

Bringing Copilot to the message composition box, AI can now help you rewrite a drafted message based on a custom prompt. So if you want to add a call to action or joke, you can ask Copilot to do it. In the near future, artificial intelligence will be able to create a new message by taking advantage of the context in the Teams chat. Of course, you can change the suggested message as you see fit.

Additionally, a smart call summarization feature is coming to Teams. This will automatically create notes and action items from the Calls app. This will be available for both Teams Premium and Copilot next quarter.

Microsoft is rolling out some features aimed at improving hybrid meetings. IntelliFrame leverages CloudAI to create a separate video stream for each person physically participating in a Teams Rooms meeting; so everyone has a similar panel. This feature will now be enabled by default on Teams Rooms devices.

It is also planned to offer an option called automatic camera switching for IntelliFrame. This will use AI to present the best view of each person in the meeting room, whether from the room’s front-facing camera or their laptop’s webcam. If someone is blocked from the camera view, IntelliFrame will try to give them a clearer view.
