OLED iPad Pro with M4 Processor May Come with New Artificial Intelligence Capabilities
It is expected that major improvements and artificial intelligence capabilities will be introduced in the iPad Pro series at the Let Loose event to be held by Apple on May 7. The M4 processor is said to position the iPad Pro as Apple’s first “true AI-powered device.” Gurman believes that every new Apple product going forward will feature advanced AI capabilities based on future chips.
Gurman’s exact statements are as follows: “I heard that there is a strong possibility that the chip in the new iPad Pro will be M4, not M3. Better yet, I believe Apple will position the tablet as its first true AI-powered device and introduce every new product from now on as an AI device. “This is all, of course, a response to the AI craze that has been sweeping the tech industry over the last few years.”
This also lines up with rumors that Apple is exploring AI partnerships and new software features like personalized recommendations and translations coming with iOS 18. By first releasing an M4-powered iPad Pro, Apple could reveal its vision of embedding AI in hardware and software before developers at WWDC 2024.
