QuakeCon 2024, hosted by Bethesda Softworks and id Software, will be held from August 8-11 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas. announced.
QuakeCon 2023 was the first face-to-face event held in three years. This was also the first time QuakeCon started charging fees to anyone who wanted to attend. This year, a cheaper $15 ticket option will also be available for anyone who doesn’t want to bring their computers into the BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) area at QuakeCon 2024. These ticket holders will still be able to tour the BYOC area, register for tournaments, play in the event’s tabletop rooms, and participate in other activities.
While the cost of BYOC ticket points is $75, express check-in privileges can be enjoyed for $200. Registration for these tickets will start on May 21. Starting today, it’s also possible to register to be selected for a lottery to purchase a $400 ticket. Those who are selected and pay for their ticket will be offered a larger BYOC table, pre-selected check-in, an exclusive apparel and mug, a single gaming chair, and a free QuakeCon ticket for one companion.
It is expected that the “Quake 6” game will be officially announced at this year’s event. If you remember, in January, as part of Bethesda, MachineGames and Microsoft’s Indiana Jones and the Great Circle game, a whiteboard was seen in the MachineGames offices with the Quake symbol clearly marked along with “AKE 6” in the video.
