Nothing, a UK-based technology company that introduced Nothing Phone (1) in July 2022, brought the model in question to our country last year and attracted a lot of attention. Now the company is here with its 2nd generation phones. This series includes Phone (2) and Phone (2a) models. Today we are taking a look at the Phone (2a) model.

Nothing Phone (2a) Features
Nothing has launched two phones in the new generation, unlike the Phone (1) model that was released in 2022. While the Nothing Phone (2) model is the high-end version of the series, the Nothing Phone (2a) is a slightly more affordable model.
While the flagship of the series comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 platform, the Nothing Phone (2a) model comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro with a more modest performance. Dimensity 7200 Pro includes 6 ARM Cortex-A510 efficiency cores running at 2.0 GHz in addition to 2 ARM Cortex-A715 performance cores running at 2.8 GHz. The graphics load of the phone is handled by Mali-G610 MC4.
When it comes to RAM and storage, we see that the phone meets and even exceeds the expectations of its class. In this class where we usually see 8 GB RAM, Nothing offers 8 GB and 12 GB options. When it comes to the storage side, we should point out that 128 GB and 256 GB options are preferred. Let’s also add that the phone has a virtual RAM feature that can be increased up to 8 GB.
Screen
Nothing Phone (2a) comes with a screen consisting of a 6.7 inch AMOLED panel. The screen in question has a resolution of 1080 × 2412 (FHD +) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. While the phone’s screen offers 700 nits normal brightness, 1100 nits HBM and 1300 nits peak brightness are also noteworthy. Finally, it should be noted that the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Camera
Phone (2a) has 2 50 MP resolution cameras on the back. While the first of these is the main camera with OIS (optical image stabilizer) support, the second one comes with a sensor and lens with which you can take ultra-wide angle (114 degrees) shots.
The cameras in question can record 30 FPS video at 4K resolution. In 1080p, 60 and 120 FPS support is available.
When we turn to the front of the phone, we see the 32 MP resolution selfie camera. While this camera can record 60 FPS video at 1080p resolution, it is also optimized for portrait shots.
Battery
Nothing Phone (2a) is a phone suitable for a large battery due to its size. For this reason, Nothing also preferred a 5000 mAh battery. This battery offers 45W fast charging support and can be charged to 50% in 23 minutes and fully charged in 59 minutes.
Connection Options
We can say that mid-segment phones now support current technologies. Nothing Phone (2a) is one of them. In addition to 5G support, the phone supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connection technologies. On the wired connection side, the phone also has a Type-C port that supports the USB 2.0 standard.
