After intense reactions, Sony has stepped back from requiring Helldivers 2 PC players to use a PSN account. Normally, new players today would have to connect their accounts with a PSN account in order to play the game.
Finally, PlayStation is a member of the X account. in post It has been announced that plans to have Helldivers 2 Steam players connect to a PSN account to play the game “will not be moving forward”.
The post reads: “Helldivers fans — we listened to your feedback about the Helldivers 2 account linking update. For new players and existing players, the May 6 update, which requires Steam and PlayStation Network accounts to be linked as of May 30, will not progress.
We’re still learning what’s best for PC gamers and your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you again for your continued support of Helldivers 2. We will keep you updated about our future plans.â€
It seems that Sony will have to be very cautious before making such a decision again.
