Xbox AI Chatbot

Microsoft first deployed the Copilot AI chatbot into a variety of its products and services. Now, it has been revealed that the company is preparing an Xbox artificial intelligence chatbot.

The Verge, confirmed with a Microsoft spokesperson that it is working on a prototype for an “Xbox Support Virtual Agent.” It’s basically an animated AI chatbot that will “inquire Xbox Support issues by voice or text” from users based on “information on existing Xbox Support pages.”

The new animated Xbox chatbot looks a lot like Clippy, the digital assistant that appeared in the late 1990s when a person felt they needed help with an Office file. The current version of the Xbox chatbot asks users “How can I help you today?” It is stated that he asked the question.

According to Microsoft’s Xbox support documentation, the chatbot will reportedly be able to not only answer questions from users, but even send game refunds if necessary.

It is not stated when the new Xbox chatbot will be available to everyone.
