iPhone 17 Pro May Have a Chip Produced with TSMC’s 2nm Process

Today DigiTimes In a new report published by , it was stated that the iPhone 17 Pro model will be the first iPhone with a chipset built on TSMC’s 2nm process. TSMC announced that it started working on the 2nm process in 2022, and since then it has been said that the iPhone 17 Pro will be the first device with a chipset using this process.

Today, this has been confirmed as much as a rumor can be verified. Small-scale production on the 2nm process is expected to begin at TSMC later this year, with mass production expected in 2025, in time for the launch of the 17 Pro in the fall of next year.

Earlier this year, it was claimed that Apple had contracted with TSMC’s entire 2nm process. In addition to the 17 Pro, 2nm chipsets are planned to be used in future Macs.
