A new report from South Korea claims that Samsung may launch the Galaxy Watch 7 series with the feature of monitoring users’ blood sugar levels. According to the news, Hon Pak, who serves as Senior Vice President at Samsung Electronics and heads digital health services, met with Samsung Health advisory board members at the company’s Medical Center in Seoul.

In this meeting, developments in blood sugar monitoring and its application to smart wearable devices were discussed. It was also reported that this speech covered a number of other topics, including artificial intelligence developments in health monitoring, as well as advances in detecting heart arrhythmia and hypertension.

Finally, let us add that we expect the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 series to be released with the new Exynos W940 chipset, which is claimed to be 50% more efficient than its predecessor, and up to 32GB of storage.
