Meta is a major update to Meta AI, the artificial intelligence assistant platform built using the open source Llama 3 large language model (LLM). announced. The company says it’s “the smartest AI assistant you can now use for free.”
On the use cases side, Meta touts the ability to help users study for tests, plan dinners, and nights out.
Meta AI’s rendering feature is now faster and can produce images as you type. So you can create album covers for your band, decor inspiration for your apartment, custom animated GIFs, and more.
On the security and reliability side, the company says that Llama 3 is trained on an expanded data set compared to Llama 2. It is also alleged that synthetic data is used to create long documents that can be trained on, and excludes all data sources known to contain a data.
