Apple is making intense efforts to offer artificial intelligence capabilities in the iOS 18 mobile operating system. One of Apple’s efforts is to provide ChatGPT integration by reaching an agreement with OpenAI. Finally BloombergMark Gurman from , claimed that Apple and OpenAI are very close to an agreement.
Sources close to Apple say that negotiations with OpenAI are progressing well. During this process, Apple also wanted to reach an agreement with other artificial intelligence companies. According to Bloomberg, another important agreement is negotiations with Google regarding the licensing of the Gemini chat robot, but it seems that no progress has been made in this regard.
Apple CEO Tim Cook previously said that he personally uses ChatGPT. On the other hand, Cook emphasized that some concerns should be addressed before applying such technologies to Apple’s ecosystem.
These new artificial intelligence features are expected to be introduced at the annual WWDC 2024 event planned to be held by Apple in June.
