AMD Ryzen AI 100 Strix Point series will cover the 15 to 45W TDP range, no H/HS/U sub-series are planned. Lenovo Product Manager claims that AMD will drop the Ryzen H/HS/U nomenclature in favor of a single (HX?) brand covering various TDP ranges.

Chinese social media platform on Weibo A Lenovo ThinkBook Product Manager revealed that AMD plans to change and simplify product naming starting with the next release. He clarified.

This claim came after the information that ASUS plans to use the Ryzen AI HX 170 processor in the upcoming Vivobook S 16 laptop. Apparently, the new name for the AMD Strix Point series supported by Zen5 architecture will be HX. Instead of using various sub-series such as 100U (15W), 100H (35W) and 100HS (45W), the new series will have a single product name covering all TDP ranges, such as HX 170.

Ultimately, this means that the new SKU naming will indeed be simpler, but it will also be much more difficult for customers to distinguish between SKUs. . So far we haven’t seen anything confirming this change, but leaks already mention the Ryzen AI HX 170 SKU and Ryzen AI 165 models.
