DLSS and FSR Support Comes to the Game with Star Citizen Alpha 3.23 Update

If you are interested in space simulation and exploration games but also want to benefit from the latest graphics technologies, your options are quite limited. No Man’s Sky, Starfield or perhaps the 13-year-old Star Citizen may be preferred. Technically, the game was never fully released, but it has been available for download as an early access version for years.

NVIDIA DLSS has been around since 2018, and FSR arrived not long after. Star Citizen developers eventually incorporated these technologies into their games based on StarEngine (a heavily modified version of CryEngine). The Alpha 3.23 update, codenamed “Adventure Beckons”, adds DLSS and FSR support to the game.

Star Citizen to the change log According to reports, wild creatures were introduced, including the marok bird and the kopian creature. The marok soars gracefully in the sky, covering long distances using its wide wingspan while searching for food near human settlements. Copians, on the other hand, pose a threat and often form swarms that players will have to face.

A new feature called Master Modes improves ship combat dynamics and offers players strategic options. Additionally, Pulse and Pulse LX hoverbikes, which promise an adrenaline-filled riding experience, were introduced. Let’s say that the new update also brings various visual improvements.
