Sony Xperia 1 VI and 10 VI

Official rendering images of Sony’s highly anticipated new flagship Xperia 1 VI and mid-segment phone Xperia 10 VI leaked. The phones, whose design details and some technical features have been revealed, may become official at the launch event to be held on May 17.

Although the Xperia 1 VI follows a similar design line to its predecessor, the Xperia 1 V, it offers a striking change in screen ratio. The wider and less tall screen attracts attention with its 19.5:9 ratio. While the large frames are preserved on the front of the phone, the selfie camera is also placed on the top frame. Leaked images show that the device will come in two color options: black and light brown.

The technical features of Xperia 1 VI are also quite assertive. The phone, which is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s newest processor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, will be offered with 12/16GB RAM options. There will be a triple camera system on the back. This system will include a 16mm ultra wide-angle lens, 24mm main camera and 85-170mm periscope telephoto lens. The screen of the phone, which has a 5,000 mAh battery, will offer a 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling rate.

Sony’s mid-segment phone Xperia 10 VI comes with subtler design changes compared to its predecessor, Xperia 10 V. The phone, whose rear camera island has a more stylish appearance, will offer three different color options. While the wide frames are preserved on the front, the most striking difference of the Xperia 10 VI is the decrease in the number of cameras. Instead of the triple camera found in its predecessor, the Xperia 10 VI will have a dual system consisting of the main camera and ultra-wide-angle lens. Removing the telephoto lens may be a disadvantage for some users.
