Hybrid Air/Liquid Coolers Come to Market

Almost all hardware manufacturers took their place at Computex this year. One of the manufacturers, Adata, has introduced several new products, including an innovative CPU cooler, an SFX power supply, and SSDs. introduced. This product range remained secondary to the XPG Nia handheld gaming computer, which was also at Adata’s stand.

Let’s look at Levante II, an AIO CPU cooler from the XPG gaming series. A much-needed refresh of the Levante X 360, the Levante II brings a few changes to the table to address concerns about the first model. First of all, the AIO pump was moved from the radiator to the cooler head and a slightly thicker CPU block was created. This new design is patented by Adata, which is a big change for the vendor that has traditionally used Asetek patented designs for its AIOs. While the low noise of the Levante II and the X 360 is preserved, the price has been reduced from 199 dollars to 179 dollars. The new cooler will be released in the third quarter of this year.

The XPG Hydro CPU cooler is more interesting due to its hybrid structure. Yes, you heard right, Hydro uses both liquid and air cooling. The dual 120 mm fans used are responsible for carrying the air across the central radiator that sits directly above the CPU. Providing a noise level of only 28 dB at maximum performance, the cooler manages to approach normal AIO sound levels and can offer cooling performance up to 280W TDP. There is also a thin RGB line on the top of the cooler, which is marketed towards gamers. The product, which will be available in September, has a price tag of $109.

On the other hand, Adata is entering the interlocking fan market with its Hurricane Mag fans. Hurricane Mag is a series of 120mm fans that can magnetically lock together. The method of connecting PWM cables in a daisy chain, which has become popular recently, is also used here. The fans come together easily and quickly, making installation easy. The fans will also come equipped with a forward/reverse flow switch, which is a nice addition. Hurricane Mag will be sold with four fans in a single package for $109, starting in August.
