Intel’s new processor series, codenamed Twin Lake, stands out with its low power consumption, leaving the Pentium brand behind. Seen as the successor of Alder Lake-N, Twin Lake offers an ideal solution for compact and portable devices. Here are the details of the low power consumption N250 Twin Lake processor.

The Twin Lake series, which was first revealed by Raichu, was later brought to the agenda by MLID with the information that it could support up to 8 cores. Using the familiar Gracemont architecture instead of Skymont architecture, Twin Lake aims to establish a perfect balance between performance and efficiency.

InstLatX64’s Data mining studies confirmed that the Intel N250 processor is a member of the Twin Lake family. N250, which has 4 cores and 4 threads, has a base clock speed of 1.2 GHz. Since the Gracemont architecture does not have hyper-threading support, the processor is limited to 4 threads.

Twin Lake and Alder Lake-N are the first processor generations that do not use the Pentium/Celeron brand. Intel is switching to a simpler naming system by simply calling these processors NXX Processors. There is also the Core i3-N30x series, which uses the highest configuration of Alder Lake-N.

It is not yet clear when Twin Lake will be released. According to rumors, Twin Lake, which will be used in affordable Google Chromebooks, will be introduced in the second half of 2024. The first systems using this architecture are expected to be released in early 2025.
